The Mystery of Prevailing Prayer Koinonia Abuja Sermon with Apostle Joshua Selman Nimmak

Malachi 2:2 (KJV)
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Isaiah 33:6 (KJV)
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
Colossians 3:16 (KJV)
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Psalms 65:2 (KJV)
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
Matthew 21:13 (KJV)
And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Six Reasons Why Believers Must Pray:

1. It is a Command. (Luke 18:1-5)
Irrespective of how weak you are, if you can consistently engage in prayer, it can ignite power and deliverance in the face of circumstances.
2. Prayer is a strategy for fellowship with God. (2 Corinthians 13:14).
When you fellowship with God, there is a transference of grace communicated to you.
3. Prayer is one of the authorized platforms for growth and transformation. (1 Corinthians 14:4, Luke 9:28-29)
You build capacity in the spirit when you pray.
The primary assignment of prayer is not for breakthrough but for transformation; You can pray your way into higher dimensions of yourself.
Growth and transformation is impossible without prayer; There’s a dimension of beauty and glory when you pray.
4. Prayer is an instrument for warfare and intercession. (James 5:13)
Warfare is authorizing the hosts of Heaven on your behalf.
When you pray consistently, you attract the ministry of angels. Angels come to your aid when there’s a demand for their presence.
When you begin to pray, your discernment and sensitivity is activated.
5. Prayer is a strategy to keep your faith alive. (Luke 22:30-32)
Prayer is not bound by time, you can send it into your future to create a smooth path for you.
Petitions can be made; God did not leave us on this earth defenseless. Heaven has a way of coming into partnership with you to uphold you when all the stakes are down.
6. Prayer is the platform to make our requests and petitions known to God. (James 4:3, Mark 11:23-24).
The highest proof of humility is prayer. Prayerlessness is not just sin, it is pride; it is a communication to God that you are sufficient in yourself.
  • Your week is declared victorious. May your spiritual life receive an acceleration. May your passion and hunger for spiritual things never go down. Enjoy the miraculous power of God. The testament of the Lord will be evident upon your life. May the Lord bless and increase you in the Name of Jesus!
  • Salvation Prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that you paid the price for my sins on the cross of Calvary. I repent from everything that is dishonoring to Your Name, I receive You as my Lord, saviour, and King. I come into eternal life. Amen!
