Come up hither is a call to a place of greater accuracy and perfection, than what we have known.

Snippets:

  • As a believer, it matters to God that your knowledge of Him is progressive. In your knowledge of God, lies your confidence and stability.
  • The pride of a believer should be based on his knowledge of God’s Word.
  • God’s messages are designed to open you up to His methodologies.
  • As believers, God’s messages are experiences; that usher us into the reality of God.
  • Come up hither is a call to a place of greater accuracy and perfection, than what we have known.

“This is Your house, Your home
We welcome You, Lord, we welcome You
This is Your house, Your home
We welcome You today…” – Song

Revelation 4:1(KJV)
After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Revelation 4:2-3 (KJV)
2. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Revelation 4:4 (KJV)
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

  • In God’s Kingdom, growth is based on spiritual illumination; you are transformed by what you see.
  • In the realm of the Spirit, believers excel in light. The measure of your growth is based on light as opposed to time.

Colossians 2:8 (KJV)
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Matthew 15:2-3 (KJV)
2. Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Mathew 15:4-5 (KJV)
4. For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;

Mathew 15: 6-7 (KJV)
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

Mathew 15:8-9 (KJV)
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

  • Come up hither is a call to believers to come up to a realm of maturity, where growth becomes consistent and stable.

Dangers of The Traditions of Men
Traditions refer to ordinances, precepts, and methodologies created by men as a product of aberrated encounters that are inconsistent with God’s Word.

  • Inaccurate understanding of certain concepts in the body of Christ can hinder believers’ growth. Such concepts include:

1. Understanding the biblical concept of greatness.

2. The subject of faith.

3. Our interpretation of tragedy and negative situation.

4. The concept of fatherhood and mentorship.

5. The concept of wealth and success.

6. Glory realm and supernatural encounters.

  • The moves of God are corrupted when there is imbalance in doctrine.

“You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I’d be a fool
You are my all in all…” – Song

“Mai Girma (Great One)
Mai Girma (Great One)
Mai Girma (Great One)
Babu wani kamar da Kai (There’s none like You)…” – Song

  • In this Kingdom, God is not against prosperity and influence. Desiring greatness only becomes detrimental when your relevance and self-worth is tied to it.

Ephesians 3:8 (KJV)
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

  • Genuine greatness is measured by the abundance of your knowledge of Christ.

“Something more than gold
I’ve got something more than gold
If all I have is Jesus, I’ve got something more than gold
I’ll tell it to the world
Jesus is more than gold…” – Song

Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

  • The value of a believer is measured by the riches of Christ embedded in Him.

“You are everything, everything is You
You are everything, (You are everything)
Everything is You, (everything is You)…” – Song

  • Greatness in God’s Kingdom is not measured by material possessions, but by the riches of Christ within, and lives you’ve transformed.

“Who is like You Lord in all the earth?
Matchless love and beauty, endless worth
Nothing in this world can satisfy
‘Cause Jesus You’re the cup that won’t run dry
Your Presence is heaven to me
Oh God, Your Presence is heaven to me…” – Song

“Give me You, everything else can wait
Just give me You, I hope I’m not too late
Lord, give me You
Lord, give me You
Lord, give me You
Lord, give me You…” – Song

  • Pray: Lord, I’m tired of exalting mundane things above You. Detach me from anything I’ve exalted above You, in the Name of Jesus!

“Be lifted high, high
Be lifted high, high
Oh Lord, be Lifted high
For You are holy
Righteous and Worthy
Oh Lord, be lifted high
Oh Lord, be lifted high…” – Song

  • Pray: My life and worth will never be built on the expectations of men in the Name of Jesus!

“Something more than gold
I’ve got something more than gold
If all I have is Jesus, I’ve got something more than gold
I’ll tell it to the world
Jesus is more than gold…”

  • The secret to receiving material blessings is to be attached to God.

“I will search for You
And I will find You
I will find You, with all my heart
I will lift my hands to You in worship
And I will worship with all my heart…” – Song

  • I detach you from any connection and affinity you have for vain things. By this service, let there be a cutting away in the Name of Jesus!
  • May God redefine value to you and grant you the grace to survive societal pressure in the Name of Jesus!
  • I pray for you, that whilst you focus on exalting Jesus, may everything you need be brought into your life, in the Name of Jesus!
  • Nothing in this life will ever possess you, in the Name of Jesus!
  • Do you desire to make it right with God? Jesus is reaching out and seeks to restore you wholly. It’s our delight to lead you to Him. Surrender your life to Him through the prayer of salvation tonight.
